HCVA founding partners Hagerty are bringing RADwood back to the UK for the first time since 2019! HCVA will have a stand and we are inviting all members with a qualifying vehicle to come and display it at the event taking place on 20th August at Bicester Heritage.

RADwood transports visitors back to the days of Top Gun (the original, okay), Beverley Hills Cop, Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid and The Blues Brothers. It’s a celebration of the cars, and the popular culture, that marked out the 1980s and 1990s as two of the most vibrant decades in recent memory.

Founded in America in 2017, by podcasters Art Cervantes and Warren Madsen, RADwood began as a show with 150 cars and 500 people, and has never looked back. For 2022, like Marty McFly travelling through time,

RADwood UK will be bringing those two decades back to life, when it lands – with a splash of eye-popping fluorescence – at Bicester Heritage, on 20th August.

The criteria encouraged for the cars shared at RADwood events is simple. They need to have been registered in the ‘80s or ‘90s, and should loosely fit with the ‘greed is good’ theme that permeated those decades, where drivers aspired to own hot hatchbacks, sports saloons, sports cars, supercars, luxury cars and 4x4s

As special as the cars and motorcycles are, it’s their owners and their stories that make up a large part of any event, and RADwood is no different. Actually, it is a little different, because visitors are actively encouraged to dress to complement their era of car.

To be part of this exciting event including music, entertainment, food and of course great cars! email shan@hcva.co.uk with details of your car; year, make, model and registration. Entry is free for HCVA members with qualifying cars to display and their passengers!.

We look forward to seeing you there!
