  Use this guidance to help you successfully navigate what you need to do to correctly register your historic or classic vehicle with the DVLA, or notify changes following a repair, restoration or modification.

  Ensuring that the correct form(s) and any required supporting evidence are submitted correctly in the first instance will help to avoid issues and delays with your application.

• DVLA Issues Reporting

  Following the successful lobbying by the HCVA and subsequent policy changes to the DVLA vehicle registration process effective 26 August 2025, we expect that the number of cases causing dispute to dramatically reduce.
