Our Eclectic Future presented at British Motorsport Day in the Palace of Westminster
Motorsport UK and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Motorsport presented Our Eclectic Future at British Motorsport Day in the Palace of Westminster to showcase the vision of a world powered by a range of use-appropriate systems and fuels.
The HCVA were able to support Motorsport UK and the House of Commons Motorsport APPG along with Founding Partner member CKL Developments (who provided the Low Drag Jaguar E-Type ) and Coryton (who provided the sustainable fuel for the development testing in the Jaguar).
The event was a huge success. We were able to talk about the work of the HCVA, CKL Developments and Coryton who were well represented by the Jaguar E-Type and the Dakar racer of Sebastian Loeb and Prof. Steve Sapsford. The HCVA connected with Ministers including Baroness Vere (DfT and lead for the DVLA) as well as MPs from across the house, all of whom were enthusiastic.
We also met the leaders of both the Historic Vehicle and Motorsport APPGs and had an excellent discussion with Sir Lyndsey Hoyle the Speaker of the House of Commons - who allowed the event to take place in his courtyard and house.
The HCVA attended a further event on the terrace in the evening.
