    ​​​​​​​​​We are recruiting for a full-time Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Engineer in Bridgnorth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving day-to-day problems and anticipating health and safety, quality and environmental hazards.

The role

We are recruiting for a full-time Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Engineer in Bridgnorth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving day-to-day problems and anticipating health and safety, quality and environmental hazards. 

This role will support our teams in maintaining and improving compliance to the Quality Management System, ensuring products are to the correct standards, that they function effectively and meet the customer’s expectations. In addition, this role will oversee health and safety processes / measures to minimise the frequency and risk of workplace incidents and injuries and work-related ill-health.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    Quality Management: 

    Support the QHSE Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System and Quality Policy

    Design & maintain quality standards, procedures and specifications for the SNG Group Ensuring that all processes meet safety, legal and other national or international standards 

    Review / audit existing procedures to ensure they meet the current guidelines 

    Quality Assurance / Control: 

    Ensure that supplied parts meet necessary requirements Providing quality assurance technical expertise to support manufacturing 

    Review and test of sample / first article parts 

    Inspecting parts/materials for defects as appropriate 

    Lead the resolution of quality related issues, identifying problems, participate in investigations, then collaborate to design and implement effective solutions. 

    Health & Safety: 

    Support the QHSE Manager to maintain occupational health and safety policy and governance arrangements 

    Support the QHSE Manager to maintain a health and safety management system that reflects legal and good practice standards 

    Conduct health and safety inspections and audits to monitor performance. 

    Measure and report health and safety performance Identify hazards and complete risk assessments / incident investigations 

    Advise on the maintenance and improvement of safe systems of work Train and educate SNG Group colleagues to enhance the health and safety culture

  • Skills & Qualifications:

    Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Engineer Essential skills, qualities, and experience: 

    Experience of ISO9001 Quality Management System NEBOSH / IOSH (or similar) accreditation 

    Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively 

    Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail 

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems required 

    Adaptability Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Engineer, Desirable qualities, and experience: 

    Previous experience in a QHSE role In-depth knowledge of national or international industry regulations
