As a growth focused Product Analyst, you will be responsible for developing reports, analyzing results and developing strategies for growth and retention for Hagerty’s personal auto insurance product(s), with specific focus on optimizing results in UK.

The role
As a growth focused Product Analyst, you will be responsible for developing reports, analyzing results and developing strategies for growth and retention for Hagerty’s personal auto insurance product(s), with specific focus on optimizing results in UK. This includes analyzing production and loss trends, competitive data and other internal or external data, in collaboration with internal and external team members and partners, to identify new or custom products or pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Senior Motor Insurance Manager and other team, functional or business unit members as assigned:
Tracks performance defines reporting requirements and develops recommendations for improved product performance.
Identifies potential enhancements of current products and pricing, that drive growth and profitability.
Analyzes overall performance for potential micro-segmentation opportunities.
Provide a deeper level of analysis than otherwise performed in countrywide analysis.
Works with the Senior Motor Insurance Manager and other key stakeholders to identify and communicate gaps, opportunities, and target markets to drive growth at this next level.
Provides decision alternatives and recommendations based on analytics and proven results.
Provides competitor analysis and insights including product and price benchmarking. Provides product insight to marketing for customer communications, promotion and advertising purposes, including target demographic requirements.
Develops and conducts training/mentoring of team members to develop their analytical and reporting skills.
Collaborates with Group Actuarial and Information Analysts in the development of metrics and datasets used for analysis.
Works closely within the Agile framework to coordinate product and compliance updates.

Skills & Qualifications:
Insurance professional with a minimum of 2 years of company experience in product, pricing or business analytics.
Ability to develop and interpret data and translate findings into business opportunities.
Strategic, curious thinker with proven ability to learn and to develop effective internal and external relationships.
Ability to develop a business case for a proposed product, enhancement or deviation and provide analysis, independently or in collaboration with other departments, necessary to support the proposed change.
Ability to participate in or manage multiple projects, and manage timelines necessary to meet deliverable schedules.
Proven skills in Excel and database manipulation, other analytics software exposure or training a plus.
Ability to translate data to effective visuals is a plus, including use of Excel, PowerBI, Tableau or other software solutions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Degree, or similar experience in Math, Finance or Business; CII coursework or other insurance industry training a plus.
